Born in Manchester, Oliver moved to Australia in 2013. As well as commentating football and Australian football, he also commentates ice hockey at AIHL level for the Sydney Ice Dogs and the Thought Fox Media Group. Games are broadcast live on AIHL.TV.

Oliver has recently completed a Bachelor of Journalism degree at RMIT University, and was recently named one of the 25 Victorians to watch under the age of 25 by the Herald Sun.

He has previously worked as a journalist for both Kick360 and The Inner Sanctum, having worked with Football Australia, SBS, and Football Victoria so far in his media career.
